Meet our Leadership Team:

Ed Nix

Ed Nix

Ed was born in Alabama in 1952 and grew up in Chicago. As the third and youngest child in a Christian home, Ed turned his back on the faith of his father at an early age and chose a life of separation from the church. After many years of sinful living, Ed returned to the church in 2000 and was baptized in 2006.

Ed has been a senior manager and President with large international companies and has owned his own multi-million dollar business. He started his entrepreneurial adventure as a shoeshine boy on the south side of Chicago at 8 years of age. Ed has lived and worked abroad in England, Germany, and India and has been responsible for multiple start-ups of businesses and branch operations in a variety of situations. While the owner of a local business in Lincoln, he was able to grow the company from 13 employees to almost 200.

Ed became a member of a CBMC Forum in 2006 and is still part of the same Group, even though he has traveled abroad and sold his local business. The “band of CBMC brothers” he has in the Peer Advisory Group has made the ups and downs in his life and business much easier.

Ed has a Bachelor’s Degree and is a member of the John Maxwell Team of Coaches, Trainers and Speakers. He has been an Associate Trainer with Equip and traveled internationally teaching biblical leadership. He has operated his own small Coaching/Consulting business as Nix & Company Inc. and volunteers with Alcoholics Anonymous and Juvenile Detention Services. He is gifted in the areas of Faith, Leadership, Administration, Teaching and Exhortation.

Ed is married to Nickie, and they have a son Joshua, a daughter Kimberly, and three grandchildren. As the Area Director for the CBMC Leadership Institute of Lincoln, Ed is anxious to see men become successful in business and significant in the kingdom of God. He has a big vision for the role of Peer Advisory Groups in transforming the city of Lincoln for Christ.
