Renew your mind

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. – Romans 12:2

Have you ever been so busy you’ve overlooked something extremely obvious?

SEEK HIM

If … you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. – DEUTERONOMY 4:29

How to Survive a Desert Season at Work

Life’s trials are tough, but desert seasons are downright scary – especially when they impact our work. Our identity is challenged, our ability to provide for ourselves and our family is threatened, and any security we may have experienced previously goes out the window. You never know how long it will last, or how it will turn out. It’s as if a sandstorm of uncertainty gets stirred up, making it almost impossible to see even just the next step.

Growth Habits

For most of your life, you’ve likely witnessed it: some people are content to remain at their current level of understanding, education, even spiritual development and maturity. It’s observable in any facet of life where growth is possible. At some point, for some, growth becomes “optional” – even though that’s not an option in Scripture. So there they sit, seemingly in a recliner, on a plateau. It might be on the job, in their marriage, in the spiritual life and the like.

Reject Passivity

Are you growing? Ephesians 4:15: “but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ…” Growing up. How intentional have you been lately about moving forward in the dimensions of life and throwing off the shackles of passivity?
