CBMC Lincoln is excited to expand the number of Young Professional (YP) teams they offer. These are designed specifically to help men in their 20’s and 30’s navigate the challenges, pressures, and priorities of family, work, community, and faith. YP groups offer a close-knit community where men can grow personally, professionally, and spiritually. These groups foster strong relationships of 8 to 12 like-minded peers who help each other live a life of purpose, fulfillment, and impact.

Seek Him First (Not Second, Third, or Last)

When I first started reading my Bible and trying to have a morning quiet time, I didn’t really have the tools to do it well. Frankly, no one had ever equipped me to have a quiet time. I had no tools.

 

Truth be told, my early quiet times were an exercise in checking the box. I’d open my Bible, read some passages, and end up with little or no idea what God was trying to tell me. In fact, by 8:00 AM, when I rolled into the office, I couldn’t recall what I had read. Nothing stuck.
